According to Article 2(3) of of Regulation 2019/1782 a ‘multiple voltage output external power supply’ must be ‘able to convert AC power input from the mains power source into more than one simultaneous output at lower DC or AC voltage’.
Is an EPS consisting of several internally separated converters which are galvanically isolated from each other and which supply the same voltage (e.g. 5 V) simultaneously at all outputs considered a multiple voltage output external power supply?
No, it is not. It is a ‘single-voltage EPS’.
The reference to the technical parameter 'voltage' normally means ‘voltage value’ or ‘voltage level’ which applies also in this case.
A ‘multiple voltage output external power supply’ must be capable of supplying ‘multiple’ i.e. different voltage values (voltage levels) at ‘more than one’ i.e. different outputs simultaneously.
