The energy label for luminaires has been discontinued since 25 December 2019, as stated in Article 9 of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2015. There are no energy labelling requirements for luminaires after this date. However, certain luminaires that meet the definition of a light source must still bear an energy label. A product is considered a light source if the light source can be removed for verification without permanent damage. If not, the entire product is defined as a light source and must be registered in EPREL and bear an EU energy label.
