The answer is YES and NO.
Seals do have an expiry date, but they just need to be valid when you upload the sealed verification document in EPREL.
Once your company is verified, EPREL does not check the expiry date of the used seal. A short validity seal may be so usable for the needs of verification in EPREL, and is generally cheaper.
Would the company change status, with relevance for the situation as from the national trade/business register, the supplier is required to update the data in EPREL and provide a new, updated seal.
The Commission plans, anyhow, to put in place a mechanism to periodically and automatically verify if the situation of a company is changed in the national trade/business register.
